I made this painting over several months last fall. The final touch was painting tiny particles of healthy food moving through the umbilical cord to the baby.
It was inspired by the drawing I made in Ancient Map for Modern Birth, Chapter 10, and also wanting to make beautiful art to inspire mothers to eat well during pregnancy, because most recevie no encouragement or diet counseling.
I'm going to produce posters for clinics and small cards with the Good Enough Prenatal Diet printed next to it for parents.
